Training beyond the comfort zone.
The CCFV applicants put their skills, discipline, and teamwork to the test through zero-visibility training and SCBA bail-out drills—simulating the challenging conditions firefighters may encounter inside a smoke-filled structure.
With limited visibility, every movement matters. Applicants practiced maintaining orientation, staying calm under pressure, conserving air, and safely maneuvering their way out using their Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
This training emphasizes that firefighting is not only about strength and courage—it also requires proper technique, awareness, discipline, and trust in your training and teammates.
Every drill is a lesson.
Every challenge builds confidence.
Every training brings them one step closer to becoming a firefighter.
