Community Response in the Aftermath of Typhoon Tino

November 4, 2025

Service beyond the storm.

In the aftermath of Tropical Depression Tino, the Cebu City Fire Volunteers (CCFV) immediately responded to the flooded community of Villa del Rio Village, Bacayan, Cebu City to assist residents affected by rising waters.

Several individuals were also treated with first aid for minor injuries, while others were safely assisted to higher ground.

After that, the team proceeded to IT Park to help clear the roads of fallen debris and ensure the area was safe and passable for motorists.

But the mission didn’t stop there — the team continued to Barangay Cotcot, Liloan, to extend help to more flood-affected families.

On their way back to base, our volunteers even picked up stranded passengers, ensuring they reached safety despite the challenges of the night.

Through dedication, compassion, and teamwork, the CCFV once again proves that true service never ends — even after the storm
