The Cebu City Fire Volunteers (CCFV) continued their mission in Barangay Cotcot, Liloan, conducting clearing operations on roads still covered with debris after the onslaught of Tropical Depression Tino.
While clearing, one of the residents approached the team for urgent help — to retrieve the body of a family member who was lost during the flooding.
Without hesitation, the CCFV team immediately responded and successfully retrieved the victim, ensuring proper coordination with local authorities and the family.
Though the day was heavy with loss, our volunteers stood firm — proving once again that service and compassion continue even in the hardest moments.
